Ghibli Special Expo is in Hiroshima until September 24th!
This year, there will be a special pop up museum "Ghibli Grand Expo" in Hiroshima. This expo will show people how the movies are produced and published to the world. If you are a fan of Studio Ghibli, you will definitely enjoy this place!

Ghibli Grand Expo ーFrom Nausicaä to Marnieー
At the expo's entrance, there is a giant Totoro welcoming you. This expo will show you the process of how the animations are produced and published to the world. You will definitely enjoy being at the expo. There are four areas that exhibit Ghibli arts.
1. Posters of Ghibli
This area is full of posters, advertisements, trailers, etc. of 34 years. There are a lot of original poster drawings and memos of the ideas of the eye-catching slogans for the movies. There is also a mock place of Hayao Miyazaki's workplace.
2. The storage of Ghibli
This area exhibits many rare Ghibli goods including the Ponyo statue. There are many goods that you have never seen before.
3. Catbus Area
This place is simple. This area exhibits Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro in a full-scale size from the movie. You can get into the Catbus and maybe go look for Mei.
4. Ghibli's Flying Machine Exhibition
In the main lobby, there is a main exhibition of a movable airship craft from Castle in the Sky. There are other airplane crafts too. These crafts show Ghibli's effort towards flying.
Gifts and Souvenirs
There are many souvenirs you can buy at the end of the exhibitions. From the variety of gifts, you can choose your favorites. You might can get a special gift from Totoro.
