Miura Misakiko

Fresh tuna from the port of Misaki in Kanagawa Prefecture is the claim to fame of this budget sushi shop. The tuna nigiri sushi with a large amount of topping start at ¥108 a plate. Aside from tuna from around the Misaki area, they have all kinds of other variety of fish that come from across Japan and sold at Tokyo fish markets.

Miura Misakiko is located near Keisei Ueno.

Kanazawa Maimon Sushi

Despite being a cheap sushi train shop with plates starting at ¥120 a plate, the restaurant has a relatively sophisticated atmosphere. You can order assortment plates that are less than ¥1,000 as well.

One of their signature sushi is the Kani Gankomori (crab sushi with a huge amount of topping). It's a little bit expensive at ¥780 but really worth it for something of a delicacy.

The marine products here are mostly from the rich waters of the Ishikawa Penninsula in the Sea of Japan.

Kaitenzushi Edokko

This sushi train restaurant is a chain of eastern Tokyo. It seems to have been designed as a kind of kaiten sushi izakaya where you can enjoy a few drinks with decent, affordable sushi. They have sashimi sets such as the 'Horoyoi Set' (the 'slightly drunk set') that are meant to go with a drink. The drinks are around the standard price of ¥500 per order.

Katsu Oedo Shop No. 2

This restaurant has a couple of other locations in the area but every shop has a different menu. The particularity of this shop is that every plate is just ¥150, which makes calculating how much your spending very easy as you eat all kinds of delectable sushi and stack up the plates.

The focus here is on seasonal items so asking for the day's recommendation is a good idea.


Sushiro is a popular chain with a reputation for serving good sushi for the price.

One of their signature original sushi is their tempura shrimp topped on a ball of nigiri sushi. They're just ¥100 so give them a try.

The ordering system is very easy because every seat is provided with a multilingual touch tablet.
